Curbed Dreams

At one point in time I had such high hopes

Now I have lost my engine

I am a fish out of water

Or a boat on the grass

Behind the fence, far from the ocean

They tried to turn me into an art piece, a monument

But I refused

If I can’t do what I was born to do

Then to hell with it

I’d rather go down in flames.
